Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Vault app (“zeushold”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Important This App stores data locally on your device. If you forget your vault password(s), your encrypted content may be unrecoverable.

1) What the App does

Zeushold provides local encrypted storage for photos, videos, and files. It may include features like: password-protected access, “High Security” item passwords, blurred thumbnails for protected items, and screen-capture blocking (where supported by the OS).

2) Your responsibilities

  • Keep your passwords safe. The App cannot restore passwords you forget.
  • Backups are your choice. If you delete the App or wipe your device, data may be lost.
  • Legal use only. You must not use the App to store or share illegal content.
  • Device security matters. Use a device passcode/biometrics and keep iOS updated.

3) Encryption & recovery disclaimer

The App is intended to encrypt content locally. However, no security method is perfect. You understand and accept the risks of using any security software.

4) Screen capture blocking

When enabled, the App may attempt to block screenshots or screen recording using system-provided secure rendering. Some devices, OS versions, or external capture methods may still capture content. You agree not to rely on this as a guaranteed protection.

5) Prohibited actions

  • Reverse engineering, tampering, or attempting to bypass App security features.
  • Using the App to violate any law or third-party rights.
  • Uploading malware, exploiting the App, or interfering with its performance.

6) Updates & changes

The App may change over time (features, UI, performance, or requirements). These Terms may be updated. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

7) Warranty disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, security guarantees, or uninterrupted operation.

8) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss of data, loss of access due to forgotten passwords, or damages arising from use of the App.

Privacy Policy

Zeushold is designed for privacy. The App is built around local-only storage and does not require an account. This Privacy Policy explains what data is handled and how.

Local-first Your imported photos, videos, and files are stored on-device and encrypted by the App’s local security system.

1) Data the App stores

  • Your content: photos, videos, and files you import into zeushold.
  • Metadata: basic details needed for the App to function (e.g., file name, type, created date, lock state, security level).
  • Preferences: settings like “Block Screen Capture”, “Cinema Mode”, or “Show Titles”.

2) Data the App does not collect

  • No required account or login.
  • No selling of personal data.
  • No cloud syncing (unless you manually back up your device using system tools).

3) Internet & third parties

The App does not need internet to function. If you choose to tap external links (e.g., support pages), those websites have their own privacy policies.

4) Permissions (Photos / Files / Media)

If you import media, the App may request iOS permissions such as Photos access or file picker access. These permissions are used only to let you select what to import. You can change permissions anytime in iOS Settings.

5) Security notes

  • Passwords are used to protect access. The App cannot recover forgotten passwords.
  • Export / Share actions may place a decrypted copy into a temporary location for sharing. The App should clean this up, but you should still be cautious when exporting.
  • Screen-capture blocking is best-effort and may not stop all capture methods.

6) Children’s privacy

The App is not intended for children under the minimum age required by your local laws without parental consent.

7) Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect changes.

Help Center

Quick answers for common issues: importing, locking, high security, playback, export, and troubleshooting.

How do I import photos/videos or files?
Open the + button in Vault and choose Import Photos / Videos or Import Files. Pick a Security Level: Low, Medium, or High. Then tap Import Selected.
What is “High Security” and why are thumbnails blurred?
High Security items use an extra password layer and their thumbnails are always blurred. This is separate from the main vault password, so you can protect specific content more strongly.
I forgot my vault password / high password — can you reset it?
No. zeushold is designed so the developer cannot access your encrypted content. If you forget passwords, the content may be unrecoverable.
How do I lock/unlock items?
Long-press an item to open the menu. Choose Lock Item or Unlock Item. Unlocking requires entering your vault password. High items also require the high password.
How does screen capture blocking work?
When enabled, the App uses a secure rendering container to hide content during screenshots/screen recording. Some capture methods may still work outside OS control. For maximum safety, avoid displaying sensitive items in public.
Export / Save says it failed — what can I do?
Check available storage space, then try again. If exporting a large video, keep the App open and avoid switching apps. Also confirm you entered the correct password for locked/high items.
Video playback looks wrong (cropped / stretched) in the grid
The grid uses a square tile layout. Some landscape videos may appear cropped to fill the tile. Open the item in the viewer or full screen for correct aspect.
“Cinema Mode” is using too much battery / phone feels hot
Cinema Mode can autoplay multiple video thumbnails. Disable it in Settings when you don’t need it, and close the App if you’re finished.
How do I delete multiple items?
Tap Select, choose items, then tap Delete. The App may ask for your vault password to confirm deletion.
